Amanda Allen, Branch Manager
ORONO, Maine (July 12, 2019) – University Credit Union (UCU) announced the promotion of longtime employee Amanda Allen to the role of Branch Manager of the 15 Main Street, Orono location.
Allen joined UCU in July 2006, and over the last thirteen years has served in a variety of roles in retail and operations, including most recently as Assistant Branch Manager at the 15 Main Street location.
“Having worked with Amanda for many years here in Orono, I’ve witnessed her dedication to the credit union and to the well-being of our members on many occasions,” said Stacey Young, Assistant Vice President of Retail Services UCU. “As a member-owned financial institution, it gives me great satisfaction to recognize talent within our organization and promote from within.”
Allen graduated cum laude from the University of Maine and holds a B.A. in Political Science. She lives in Brewer with her family and enjoys reading, braving obstacle course races, and working on Do-It-Yourself projects around the house.
UCU’s Orono headquarters opened at 15 Main Street in 2014 and serves as a central hub for the credit union’s eight retail branches located throughout the state. The building features a large outdoor plaza that acts as a key focal point in the heart of downtown Orono.
